Skirt: J Crew (the color skirt above is sold out but I’m linking the skirt in a different color) // Similar Sweater // Purse, Similar // Sunglasses // Shoes // Necklace // Lipstick in ‘Violet Fatale’

I’m loving skirts this season! Since I live in Texas and we don’t have a winter (it’s supposed to be 75 on Christmas) skirts are great for looking put together but not too hot! While I was at the J Crew Factory a few weeks ago and spotted this skirt. I am so glad I got it! Here are it’s greatest qualities: 1. the length. Finally something that isn’t grandma long or Britney Spears circa 2003. 2. stretchy waist line. HELLLO. 3. Pockets. That’s all. 4. The color. I was a little skeptical about the color at first but it is such a neutral! Throw on your favorite heels, boots, or flats, and you’ve got a great winter look.

This outfit has a pretty funny story behind it.. During this shoot My friend Abi convinced me to just change in the park we were shooting in instead of walking to my car. So as my two friends are hold a blanket around me a man drives up in a recreation truck. I’m IN THE MIDDLE of changing and I am MORTIFIED. Apparently we were on private property. The experience was terrible. So the moral of the story: Don’t change in a public park. LOL. Happy Monday, y’all!

It’s Friday.

I made it through finals.

God is good.

I’ll be sleeping for the next week.

LOL but in all seriousness I’m so thankful for classes to be over with and I get a nice little break. I’m headed to Oklahoma City for the next two days to celebrate one of my sweet friend’s college graduation. Anything I should check out while I’m there? I hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Hannah

Pajamas: BP // Mug: Anthropologie // Glasses: Warby Parker

I have a slight obsession with PJs. No lie. My mom makes fun of me because every time we walk into a store I head straight to the Pajamas section. There is just nothing better than a cute pajama set. My mom always got us cute PJs to open on Christmas Eve. I still look forward to this tradition. This year I got my PJs a little early… I just couldn’t resist wearing them. They have pugs on them! How stinkin’ cute?

Hannah

Happy Tuesday, y’all! I’m sharing a super easy fall outfit. I’m all about scarfs this season. They can pull your outfit together! But there’s a few reasons I love this scarf in particular… Example 1: it’s sooo soft. Example 2: I love the colors. You don’t look like a Christmas tree when you wear it (y’all know what I’m talking about). Example 3: it’s not too thick so you can wear it without breaking a sweat.

I am SO overwhelmed with school.. Classes have not been too hard or challenging so far until the last week. I want to cry at the thought of taking 5 finals in two days. So please pray for me and the unhealthy amount of coffee I’m going to consume in the next 9 days. 😉 Things will probably be quiet around here for the next week so give me some grace, please! I hope everyone has a great day 🙂

Hannah

Sunday November 29th, 2015: Winter Health + Skin MUST HAVES

Dove Body Wash // Gold Bond Softening Lotion // EOS Lip Balm // LUSH Lip Scrub // Emergen-C //

Here in Texas it went from 75 to 34 in two days. TWO DAYS. The weather is just so wild and my health and skin suffer the consequences. My lips started to crack immediately, my skin began to dry up, and my nose started to run. So today I’m sharing some of my favorite winter skin and health must haves so you can make it through the season with me!

Dove Body Wash– I started using this body wash over a year ago and I am completely sold! It’s not too soapy, where you get out of the shower feeling like you still have soap on your skin. I also use this as a shaving cream. It leaves my legs feeling so soft and hydrated.

Gold Bond Softening Lotion– I’ve used this lotion for at least three years and I can’t find a better lotion out there. I’ve tried different brands but there’s nothing like some Gold Bond. There are usually two types of lotions: good smelling or leave you feeling like just soaked your hands in bacon grease. This is neither of those extremes! It not only makes my skin soft, but also heals my skin from all the winter dryness.

EOS Lip Balm– One of my favorite lip balms! One, I love the shape (judge me). But in all seriousness, I love how hydrating and healing this lip balm is. Like the Gold Bond Lotion, it’s not too greasy or just good smelling.

LUSH Lip ScrubThis stuff has saved my lips. I am not a huge fan of lip scrubs because they usually hurt more than help, in my opinion. This is totally different! LUSH Lip scrub is made out of sugar so it’s not too harsh. It peels off the dead skin and leaves your lips feeling super soft. Please and thank you!

Emergen-C– I can’t go without this stuff. I was sick a few months back and started drinking these little crack packets (totally kidding) each morning and I NEVER skip a morning. They keep me feeling energized and away from all the sickness. LOL. I’ve tried the orange flavor but the raspberry is my fav.

Let me know what your favorite winter health and skin must haves I need to try! I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Always,

Hannah

Friday November 27th, 2015: Why I’m Over Black Friday And I Never Even Started

Life

thankful

I had a great thanksgiving filled with so much love and food and family and more food… Literally so much food. I vote we have thanksgiving food more than just once a year? Okay good thing we all agree. I spend Thanksgiving in the middle of nowhere. Look up Breckinridge, Texas and you will understand how middle of nowhere I’m talking. There’s a Wal-Mart and Tractor Supply in town but that’s about it. I’ve always grown up having Thanksgiving in the middle of nowhere so whenever people talked about Black Friday Shopping I just assumed that was for the crazies. Last year I came home early on Thanksgiving Day and stopped at Target to pick up some cookies that night and they wouldn’t even let me in! They told me I had to wait in the line, for one more hour nonetheless, to get my cookies. That was when my hatred for “Black Friday” began.

So after eating my pumpkin pie yesterday and plopping down on the couch for some good ole’ fashioned Facebook scrolling I was outraged by what I saw. These crazies on my timeline were posting pictures standing in line for Black Friday at like 4pm ON THURSDAY. Wait. You just posted 2 hours ago about how thankful you were for your family and ‘blessings’ but now you be posting about shopping for things, you don’t need, on THANKSGIVING?

Okay I just took a chill pill and now I’ll get back to some reasoning. I don’t know why Black Friday gets to me so much, I mean I hate it when people tell me how I can spend my money, but I just have a problem with people shopping for the sake of ‘it’s such a good deal.’

Two words that changed my life: Dave Ramsey.

I took his dumb course a few months back and it has me all types of messed up. I swore I was never eating out again (dramatic but I didn’t eat out for 2 months). I took off my nails (I miss them daily. RIP). I only go to Starbucks if I have a gift card (so now you know what to get me for Christmas 😉 ). I’ve set financial goals for myself (getting close to my goal for this year!) Since taking his class I’ve starting thinking more before I swipe my card.

Dave Ramsey ruined my life, in the best kind of way.

When we buy something just for the sake of ‘it was so cheap,’ or ‘it was on sale’ instead of REALLY needing it, we’re not being wise with our money. We were given our jobs and money from God. We don’t own it. We are stewards of that paycheck or job title. How we spend it SHOULD reflect God.

I was am still guilty for buying things for the sake of a good sale or pressured buy (I seriously can’t say no to Thin Mints or new lipstick. I just can’t). Heck this year I almost went to Wal-Mart to buy a new TV because it was so cheap. Then I heard Dave Ramsey’s voice in the back of my head, “Would you buy this in two days? Can you pay cash for it?” The answer would be no to both of those questions. Black Friday is a marketing tool, probably started by credit card companies, used to get to spend money you don’t have!

I really don’t know why I feel so angry towards Black Friday… But I do. I just think it’s so silly especially since we just spent a day claiming to be so thankful. It just doesn’t make any since to me…

I just want to be more thankful and content with what I have than what I do not have. Is that wrong of me?

If you don’t know me, you know I can out-shop just about anyone. I love a good sale. But you wont find me waiting outside Target on Thanksgiving. And I may just have to quietly slip off Instagram bc I may scream if I see another sale alert. Actually I will.

Always,

Hannah Moore

*in no way was I compensated for this post, I just love Dave Ramsey’s program that much.

**My goal was NOT to shame ANYONE for Black Friday shopping, I mean you do you, Boo Boo so please do not think that.

thankful and grateful

Tuesday November 24th, 2015: Feelin’ Fall

Shirt: J.Crew Factory (and on sale!) // Jeans: Topshop // Purse: Rebecca Minkoff // Necklace: Similar //  Boots (they don’t sell this exact color any longer but I’m linking a very similar color in the same style) // Watch, Similar, Similar // Lipstick: Tom Ford in ‘Violet Fatale’ // Sunglasses

As mentioned on my Instagram yesterday, plaid is a must have this fall! I love to dress it up with a cute necklace or even layer it with a chunky sweater. I picked this plaid shirt a few weeks back at J. Crew Factory (they have THE best sales!) I love the mix of red and gray.

Here’s the low down on these jeans: I always have a hard time finding good jeans that fit me (because I don’t have a backside, they always fall down!) I bought a pair of Jaime jeans from Topshop and I’m obsessed. They are $70 dollars, which is a good price for the quality and cut! So if you’re also a little flat on the backside you need to try out these jeans. You’ll be glad you won’t be hiking up your jeans all day. Trust me.

Make sure to follow me on Instagram! I’ve got something fun planned for my readers next week you won’t want to miss out on! 🙂 Happy Tuesday, loves!

In Christ,

Hannah

Here’s one last Thanksgiving outfit inspiration. This outfit is one of my favs! I’m a sucker for a plaid shirt and this one is on sale! You can see the other Thanksgiving outfit inspiration boards here, here, and here. After school tomorrow I’m free for a whole week and I’m SO excited. I’m headed West to visit my family. There is simply nothing better than some family time and time in the country to disconnect for a while. I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday! ❤

Thursday November 19th, 2015: Thanksgiving Look # 3

Thanksgiving Look # 3
Happy Thursday! When I’m having a rough week I can always count on some outfit inspo to lift my spirits. This outfit did the trick!
This plaid skirt probably brings me too much excitement. It’s so festive without being too much. I’m LOVING the lace up flats trend… I got some a few weeks back from Steve Madden (which are a great quality). Then I realized Old Navy had a pair for half the price… I don’t know how great the quality is but I do know I like that $29 dollar price tag! Hollaaa. Another trend I’m loving is the mini bag. If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw my new pink mini bag from Henri Bendel… It. Is. Perfect.
As Always,
Hannah

Thanksgiving Look #2 2015
Here’s outfit inspo #2! This outfit is a little more relaxed and casual than yesterdays. Nothing is better than a black and white combo with some gold touches and a leopard clutch. Nothing. And I LOVE these Over The Knee boots… Ah they’re just so dreamy.
I hope everyone is having a great week so far! I’m looking forward to a few days off next week… My classes are coming to a close and all my projects seem to be due the same day. So ready to get this semester behind me. #overit.
Always,
Hannah
