Here’s one last Thanksgiving outfit inspiration. This outfit is one of my favs! I’m a sucker for a plaid shirt and this one is on sale! You can see the other Thanksgiving outfit inspiration boards here, here, and here. After school tomorrow I’m free for a whole week and I’m SO excited. I’m headed West to visit my family. There is simply nothing better than some family time and time in the country to disconnect for a while. I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday! ❤

Hey y’all! I cannot believe it’s almost October… Like what the heck! Today I’m just going to fill ya in on some random life things so I hope I don’t bore you. 😉

I just completed a financial class at my church written by Rachel Cruze, Dave Ramsey’s daughter, called Generation Change. Kinda cheesy but I HIGHLY recommend it! It’s designed specifically for high school and college students. It’s made me think more about what I’m spending my Gods money on. So I’m on a budget now. I know, how exciting! Is it weird that I find saving money fun? Okay yeah super weird. I will say buying these shoes would be so much more fun… Sorry Dave!

I haven’t been shopping in like a month and I’m getting a little stir crazy… (My wish list on Nordstrom is getting out. Of. Control.)

On to the next random thing, I graduated from a Prep School (shoutout to Wylie Prep!) and it was pretty challenging (sounds way more fancy than it is, lol.) I learned so much during high school. I learned how to organize, study, manage my time, take notes, and make genuine friendships. I figured that I was well prepared for college.

Boy, is college hard. While I am WAY more prepared than like 95% of my classmates, it is still difficult! It is not necessary the class subjects or material that are difficult, but rather how in the world am I supposed to get all this stuff done. I’m taking 5 classes this semester (thanks to my older sister who took 5 classes a semester her entire college career AND graduated in 4 years AND graduated with honors. Why did you have to set the bar so high?!?) and it’s kicking my booty. Finding time to do homework, work, spend time with friends and family, and be involved in ministry… Lol. It’s pretty comical.

I think I failed my history test yesterday. How does one, who has literally taken 6 years of American History, fail an American History test? I don’t know.

This adult stuff is hard! And I don’t even have many responsibilities. I’ve pretty much decided I just can’t adult.

I’ve been spending more time with my nephew, Ryder, over the past few months and he seriously makes me so happy. Three year olds say the cutest things! His new thing is telling me, “I love you to the moon.” My heart just about melts.

I’m headed back to NYC in November! AH. New York is easily one of my most favorite places to go! It is truly magical. I’ve never been in November so I’m super excited! I’ve been to NYC several times but I want to try some new restaurants and shops this trip so if anyone has any suggestions you can shoot me an email or comment belong!

Last random thing, I’m headed to College Station this weekend to see my bff, Kaleigh! I’ve never been to College Station so I hope it’s as great as everyone says… (I’ll get back to you on that.)

P.S. I can’t say sorry enough for my absence. I know everyone has busy lives so I’m not even going to get in to that excuse. Instead I’ll just say that I’ve been living my life a little disconnected from the Internet. As I’ve said before, my family and relationships with people (in the here and now) are, at this season in my life, more important than a blog post. Sorry to my readers! 🙂
