Thanksgiving is filled with so many great memories! Our whole family gets together and it involves my moms infamous corn casserole and my cousin Bailee’s cheesecake. Mmm I just love Thanksgiving! Here’s some outfit inspo for those of us who search for something cute and not too tight (that way we can eat un-godly amounts of dressing.) 😉

I’m loving the navy and burgundy trend this year! It’s so rich and classic. This shift dress has been sitting in my cart at Nordstrom for a few weeks and I think it’s finally time to just buy it already! It’s the perfect kind of dress for the crazy weather we have here in Texas. Throw on some gorg gold accessories, some classic riding boots, and hat… Cute and effortless. Happy Tuesday. 🙂

As Always,
Hannah

I’m sharing one of my favorite outfits yet! I’ve been on the search for a cape blazer for a few months and I stumbled across this one and on major sale at a boutique. #score. (I found some similar white capes so you can re-create this look easily.) I layered the blazer with a simple black tank top to create a chic look. Pulled back hair + my favorite black booties… Perfect outfit!

Also, this bracelet I’m wearing has been one of the best purchases I’ve ever made! It adds such a cute touch to my outfit. I mean that exposed stone *insert heart eye emoji.* Make sure to follow Molly on Instagram and if you’re interested in buying something, her contact information is on her Instagram. Her jewels make THE best gifts and it’s just that time of year. 🙂

I’m SO glad it’s Friday! I’m so excited about this weekend. I’m an “adult” leader (I use the word adult very loosely) for Northplace Students. We have our retreat this weekend and I’m so excited to spend time with the kids and disconnect for the weekend. Also, tomorrow is my mom’s birthday, I know I’m not going to be with her on her birthday… #worstdaughter. But I have a fun surprise for her next week, so don’t worry! My mom is my best friend and my favorite person. I’m so thankful I get to call her my mom. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Happy Monday! Today I’m sharing this amazing dress I picked up at Topshop a few months back for a wedding. I LOVE Topshop’s pieces. They offer high end cuts and quality for a great price. When I saw this dress I was drawn to the stripes and structure. Horizontal stripes can we tricky but the structure of this dress worked perfect with the stripes. For this shoot I paired this dress with a pair of colored heels for an unexpected pop of color.

Best thing about this dress? It’s on sale! #myfavoritewords

The wedding I wore this dress to I wore my favorite nude heels (THE best wedding shoes!) and a bright red lip (Color: Ruby Woo)

September 25th, 2015: Hey… It’s Hannah, Remember Me?

Life

Hey y’all! I cannot believe it’s almost October… Like what the heck! Today I’m just going to fill ya in on some random life things so I hope I don’t bore you. 😉

I just completed a financial class at my church written by Rachel Cruze, Dave Ramsey’s daughter, called Generation Change. Kinda cheesy but I HIGHLY recommend it! It’s designed specifically for high school and college students. It’s made me think more about what I’m spending my Gods money on. So I’m on a budget now. I know, how exciting! Is it weird that I find saving money fun? Okay yeah super weird. I will say buying these shoes would be so much more fun… Sorry Dave!

I haven’t been shopping in like a month and I’m getting a little stir crazy… (My wish list on Nordstrom is getting out. Of. Control.)

On to the next random thing, I graduated from a Prep School (shoutout to Wylie Prep!) and it was pretty challenging (sounds way more fancy than it is, lol.) I learned so much during high school. I learned how to organize, study, manage my time, take notes, and make genuine friendships. I figured that I was well prepared for college.

Boy, is college hard. While I am WAY more prepared than like 95% of my classmates, it is still difficult! It is not necessary the class subjects or material that are difficult, but rather how in the world am I supposed to get all this stuff done. I’m taking 5 classes this semester (thanks to my older sister who took 5 classes a semester her entire college career AND graduated in 4 years AND graduated with honors. Why did you have to set the bar so high?!?) and it’s kicking my booty. Finding time to do homework, work, spend time with friends and family, and be involved in ministry… Lol. It’s pretty comical.

I think I failed my history test yesterday. How does one, who has literally taken 6 years of American History, fail an American History test? I don’t know.

This adult stuff is hard! And I don’t even have many responsibilities. I’ve pretty much decided I just can’t adult.

I’ve been spending more time with my nephew, Ryder, over the past few months and he seriously makes me so happy. Three year olds say the cutest things! His new thing is telling me, “I love you to the moon.” My heart just about melts.

“Hey Nana, I look like a clown.” I can’t handle the cuteness, y’all.

I’m headed back to NYC in November! AH. New York is easily one of my most favorite places to go! It is truly magical. I’ve never been in November so I’m super excited! I’ve been to NYC several times but I want to try some new restaurants and shops this trip so if anyone has any suggestions you can shoot me an email or comment belong!

Last random thing, I’m headed to College Station this weekend to see my bff, Kaleigh! I’ve never been to College Station so I hope it’s as great as everyone says… (I’ll get back to you on that.)

Sorry to bore you with all my random life updates but I hope everyone has an awesome weekend! 🙂

Always,

Hannah

P.S. I can’t say sorry enough for my absence. I know everyone has busy lives so I’m not even going to get in to that excuse. Instead I’ll just say that I’ve been living my life a little disconnected from the Internet. As I’ve said before, my family and relationships with people (in the here and now) are, at this season in my life, more important than a blog post. Sorry to my readers! 🙂
